I expanded it and added support to fallback to jpegs when webp isn’t support. Added support for IE9 with WebM plugin too. Check it out on my blog WebP images with jpeg fallback

How did you make a “RIFF encoded WebP image” from an image?
And then how did you convert it into a “EBML/Matroska encoded single frame WebM video”?
